"More" marks the triumphant return of Pulp, their first studio album since 2001's "We Love Life"—a gap of nearly 24 years. The album emerged organically during the band's 2023 reunion tour, sparked by the creation of "Hymn of the North" during soundchecks and debuted at Sheffield Arena. This renewed creative energy led to the development of the full album in the first half of 2024, featuring revived ideas from the 1990s, new compositions, and collaborations with Richard Hawley and Jason Buckle. The Eno family contributes backing vocals on one track, while string arrangements by Richard Jones are performed by the Elysian Collective. Recorded in just three weeks in Walthamstow, London, beginning November 18th, 2024, "More" is the fastest-recorded Pulp album to date. Entirely human-made with no AI involvement, it stands as a heartfelt dedication to Steve Mackey and a testament to the enduring spirit of British alternative rock.
