Amazon.co.uk Review It's not the scary hit that The Ring was in 2002, but The Grudge makes a similarly convincing case for American remakes of popular Japanese horror films. Barely a year passed between the release of Takashi Shimizu's creepy ghost story Ju-On: The Grudge and the production of this American remake, set in Tokyo and starring Sarah Michelle Gellar in her first post-Buffy horror film. About the only significant difference between the two films is the importing of a mostly-American cast (including Bill Pullman, Clea DuVall and Grace Zabriskie), but The Grudge was reconfigured (by screenwriter Stephen Susco) to allow Shimizu to refine and improve the spookiest highlights of his earlier version, which enjoyed previous incarnations as a short film and two made-for-Japanese-video features. Surprising box-office analysts with a $40 million opening weekend, The Grudge may disappoint hard-core horror fans because it lacks gore and graphic violence, but as a creepy tale about a very haunted house, it's guaranteed to send a few chills up your spine. --Jeff Shannon Product Description 'The Grudge' is the curse of one who dies in the grip of a powerful rage. Karen (Sarah Michelle Gellar) is an exchange student working for a Japanese medical centre. Covering for another nurse she attends to an old American woman, Emma, and while there unknowingly uncovers the source of the curse. Each time the curse finds a new victim, it is reborn. Karen must somehow escape the fits of rage and madness to avoid certain death.

Not the easiest record to source on vinyl but a real gem, received promptly, well packaged and in perfect condition.
Justin Adams is one of the unsung heroes among UK guitarists and cross-cultural ambassadors, committed to working with great musicians across West Africa, the Maghreb and southern Europe. On this record he joins the remarkable Mauro Durante of Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino to showcase a UK/Puglia blend with a sharp political edge. The title track Still Moving bears witness to the trauma of refugees seeking shelter that few here can imagine and too few even care to think about.
Full credit to Justin Adams, a wonderful musician with a true grasp of what solidarity means. His world view crosses musical borders and calls for a better future for all humanity.
