FBI Agent Malcolm Turner (Martin Lawrence) is sent undercover to protect a vital witness and her son. When a notorious bank robber escapes from prison, Turner heads for the house of key witness Big Momma, where he believes the robber is heading. But Big Momma has gone away and so Turner decides to impersonate the old lady in order to trick the robber. However, when he meets and falls for the con's ex-girlfriend, things get far more complicated than he ever imagined.
