Brigitte Fontaine - Comme à la Radio [2LP Vinyl]

Brigitte Fontaine’s landmark 1970 album Comme à la Radio returns as a deluxe two-LP set for listeners exploring her influential work. It pairs the original album with 11 bonus tracks and a 24-page bilingual booklet.

Fontaine’s radical lyrics meet Areski Belkacem’s minimalist compositions and the fearless improvisations of the Art Ensemble of Chicago and Wadada Leo Smith. A visionary landmark of French music, the album has been newly remastered from the original tapes.

The cult-classic title track is joined by rare non-album singles, English-language takes, alternate versions and previously unreleased instrumental recordings. Highlights include the elusive English version of Comme à la Radio and an early version of L’été L’été.
