Description
Jane Weaver - Cherlokalate
Experience the enchanting second full-length album from Jane Weaver, Cherlokalate. This collection of ten songs masterfully weaves fragile and sparkling lullabies, drawing inspiration from cult folk artists like Karen Dalton and Linda Perhacs. The album offers a unique commentary on personal experiences, navigating the spectrum of happiness and pain with profound passion and sorrow.
Cherlokalate invites listeners on an intimate journey of ethereal folk sweetness, enhanced by gorgeous production. The soundscape is elevated by aching pedal steel and violins, with select tracks featuring a mutated take on VU-styled rock. Uncut describes it as, “Imagine Julie Driscoll locked in a studio with American Spring and Broadcast.”
