Description
Big Jefe is a vinyl album by singer-songwriter Jack Blocker, for listeners drawn to country and rough-edged Americana. Across eleven tracks, it follows a drifter’s journey from struggle for survival to an unlikely rise to power.
Inspired in part by Willie Nelson’s Red Headed Stranger and the songwriting of Marty Robbins and Townes Van Zandt, the album brings a story-driven approach to Blocker’s Americana sound. Its title track, “Big Jefe”, began as a song about a reckless, drunken miscreant and became the starting point for the world of the album.
Produced by Patrick Lyons, Big Jefe explores nights out drinking, mistakes and life on the road, with transformation at the heart of its story.
