John R. Miller delivers his fourth album, The Great Unknowing, a boundary-pushing work rooted in alt-country and Americana that challenges the artist both creatively and geographically. Miller, known for drawing influence from punk and traditional Appalachian music, traveled from his West Virginia background to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to record at the legendary Church Studio, connecting with the city's deep musical legacy.

Co-produced with Adam Meisterhans, this ambitious collection was tracked live with a band of Tulsa-based musicians, including Grammy-nominated John Fullbright, engineered by Gary Laney and Mike Prado. The resulting sound is a spacious, textured experience that builds upon the critically praised Depreciated and Heat Comes Down, blending road-worn storytelling with fuzzy atmospheres that reflect on movement, memory, and change.
