The Go-Go's - Live In Japan '82 [Audio CD]

Christened by the press as America's Sweethearts, The Go-Go's had a meteoric rise in the early 1980s. With a string of self-penned hits and a massive global fanbase, they became one of the first all-female bands to top the charts and dominate MTV. This electrifying live performance captures the band at the peak of their popularity during their 1982 tour in support of their debut album Beauty and the Beat and the follow-up Vacation. Recorded live at the Sun Plaza Hotel in Tokyo on June 19, 1982, the concert features a sold-out audience and high-energy renditions of their biggest hits, including "We Got The Beat," "Our Lips Are Sealed," and a dynamic cover of Elvis Presley's "Let's Have A Party." The show radiates the glamour, passion, and raw energy that defined LA's new wave scene.
