C.P.E. Bach: St Matthew Passion (1769)

This recording presents C.P.E. Bach's significant work, the St Matthew Passion H.782, performed by Ton Koopman and the Amsterdam Baroque Choir & Orchestra. Composed in 1769, this was the first of Bach's annual Passion settings and was long thought lost until the rediscovery of the Berlin Singakademie archive in Kiev in 1999.
